Growing our Community
Recently, SPAPP members have been busy with many events in the Polonia community in Chicago.
On Friday, September 15, SPAPP members had the chance to speak with students at the Polish-American Medical Society sponsored event, “A Festive Meeting with our Honored Guests - Distinguished Polish Physicians from the US and Europe." This was a fantastic educational forum for young pre-health students and a wonderful opportunity to network with distinguished Polish physicians from the US and Europe.
SPAPP members also attended the first Depaul Polish Student Alliance and Loyola Polish Student Alliance meetings of the year, where they were able to present about SPAPP’s mission and speak with students interested in healthcare.
Lastly, SPAPP members were also in attendance at the First Annual Student Symposium at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland. This symposium was organized by the Polish Student Leaders Assembly, which is an organization founded, developed, and supervised in Chicago, Illinois by Polish students in higher education. The mission of the group is to assist in reaching out to younger Polish students completing education at surrounding cultural institutions, founding, developing, and assisting Polish cultural organizations within higher education, and working among the Polish youth to establish a presence within the community via philanthropic projects, cultural programs, and other events that aim to foster traditions and the Polish identity.
By working with these organizations, we hope to expand our network and continue supporting the future of Polonia in healthcare. Stay tuned for more information about upcoming events!
