Perspectives from a fourth year medical student

Today, we are excited to feature Lukasz Sewera, an integral part of SPAPP’s board.

Lukasz is currently in his fourth year of medical school at Loyola University and is applying for residency in Emergency Medicine. He started the year with away rotations at UIC and at the University of Utah and since then has been enjoying traveling for interviews. Outside of medical school he has also been hiking whenever possible and has recently started rock climbing. As the interview process comes to an end he is excited to find out where he will spend the next several years of training.

Lukasz's posts will highlight:

1. US vs Foreign Medical Schools: Insights from current students and physicians
2. The Residency Application Process
3. What is the medical school "Match"?
4. How to choose your specialty

Lukasz enjoys decompressing in the great outdoors and has spend a lot of this past year doing just that.

Lukasz, his girlfriend Mary Ann, and two other SPAPP board members, Agatha and Joanna, went camping in Utah last November.
